The Vendor Coordinator is responsible for soliciting and cultivating relationships with vendors who will bring positive energy and products to the event. This individual will need to research, evaluate and identify viable vendor partners. This individual is responsible for coordinating all vendor logistics pre-, during and post-event, including all communications relative to managing contracts, permits and special requests. The successful candidate should be ready to analyze year-over-year data and commits to continually improve vendor offerings.

Key Requirements:
  • Assist vendor manager in managing and oversee the Vodacom Business Africa Opco’s and 3rd party Vendors, ranging from operational performance, customer work in progress, Cost of Sales, Opco and system related projects.
  • Escalation assistance between vendors and business.
  • Assistance in any other business related projects.
  • Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
  • Serve as a SPOC/Custodian between vendors and business.
  • Assist with additional administration function and documentations.
  • Any other operational support and guidance where needed.
  • Overall Vendor co-ordination and assistance.
  • Assistance in any other business related projects.

  • Certifications:
  • ITIL (Advantageous)
Education:
  • Matric
Experience:
  • ISO/Governance/ITIL experience and knowledge.
  • 2-3 Year’s experience working with Vendors
  • Financial Knowledge and Cost and Revenue management
  • Knowledge of technologies and fixed networks: cable networks, transmission networks (Fibre / Microwave)
  • Must be innovative with some knowledge and experience on SharePoint and BI tools.
Soft Skills
  • Ability to chair and facilitate meetings on executive levels and upwards
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions of Telco operator: CRM billing, Order Management, Order processing, provisioning
  • Knowledge of technologies and fixed networks: cable networks, transmission networks (Fibre / Microwave)
  • Must be innovative with some knowledge and experience on SharePoint and BI tools
  • Attention to detail
