This role is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of ongoing projects and for leading, organizing, budgeting, and managing staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising program execution, recruiting and training staff, providing updates on project status, making sure the program schedule is respected, and providing clear direction to the team. Key qualifications for this program are analytical thinking, leadership, time management, excellent communication and organizational skills, and computer competencies. Used “Voice of Customer” feedback to develop effective product roadmaps and schedules.

Ultimately the candidate will be the major contributor to the development of all information technology initiatives for the client, including critical path and design projects, budgeting, planning, policies, and workflow prioritization for their team.

Key Requirements

  • Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization,
  • Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization,
  • Creating and managing long-term goals,
  • Developing a budget and operating plan for the program,
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement,
  • Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables of team and own projects,
  • Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems,
  • Managing, coaching and developing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities,
  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance,
  • Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are
  • Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services,
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle,
  • Analyzing program risks and develop response strategies,
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and
  • Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel,
  • Monitor the performance of project team members, providing and documenting performance feedback,
  • Negotiate with project stakeholders or suppliers to obtain resources or materials,
  • Identify need for initial or supplemental project resources,
  • Coordinate recruitment or selection of project personnel,
  • Identify, review, or select vendors or consultants to meet project needs,
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for projects,
  • Develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit or return on investment (ROI),

Certifications

  • 8-10 year’s experience within the ICT environment including:
    • Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience (Essential)
    • Minimum of 3 year’s experience in the ISP environment (Essential)
    • Minimum of 3 year’s experience in management
  • Experience in the IP Environment (Advantageous)
  • Contractor management (Desirable)

Education

Relevant 3 year degree / diploma with 8-10 years relevant experience
