A T6F Broadband Infrastructure Engineer (mobile & fixed) is responsible for the installation, configuration and 3rd level support of subscriber management systems. The systems that support subscriber management are also an integral part of the skill set (e.g Radius, BRAS etc). A T6F Broadband Infrastructure Engineer (mobile & fixed) is required to be involved in the pre‐sales process which involves scoping of a solution for a customer.

Key Requirements:

  • Design customer solutions and write Solution Proposals for subscriber management systems
  • Compile a BOM (Bill of Materials) for networking and subscriber management equipment
  • Present a solution to a customer
  • Provide 3rd level support to support teams on subscriber management systems
  • Lead proof of concepts (POCs) for a subscriber management system
  • Lead Projects to deploy subscriber management systems
  • Perform linux administration related to subscriber management systems
  • Write scripts to automate manual tasks
  • Write SQL statement to extract reports from subscriber management systems
  • Perform troubleshooting of subscriber management systems
  • Perform troubleshooting of ISP networks related to subscriber management systems
  • Willingness to travel to other African countries
  • Desire to study for and pass other industry certifications


  • BSc Computer Science or equivalent (other qualifications or work experience will be considered)


  • CPS (Cisco Policy Suite) – Very advantageous.
  • Experience with Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS)
  • Some experience with Linux networking (Routing, Bridging, VPN, PPPoE, SSH, iptables)
  • A basic working knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Perl)
  • Knowledge and some experience with compiled programming languages (C, C++, Java)
  • Experience with database administration (sql)
  • Networking experience and knowledge (IP, IPv6, MPLS, Multicast)
  • Web Development experience is an advantage (PHP, AJAX, CSS, JSON)
  • Experience with AAA protocols (Radius, Diameter)
  • Presentation and communications skills
  • An interest in subscriber management
  • Existing knowledge of subscriber mangement platforms is an advantage (Allot, Sandvine, Cisco, Procera,
  •  Juniper)
